What Is Jade?

Jade is a semi-precious gemstone that can be found in various parts of the world including: Burma, Canada, China, New Zealand, Guatemala, Russia, and Switzerland (Swiss Alps). This prized semi-precious stone consists of two types or varieties: nephrite and jadeite.

Available in various colors or shades ranging from white, orange, pink, and red to black and purple (not the only colors available), this gemstone has been known to civilization for thousands of years.
